Steering Committee

The Steering Committee (SC) takes all major policy decisions as regards to the Government-related aspects of the project, approves the annual work plans, provide broad guidelines for administrative procedures, addresses matters or problems requiring inter-ministerial decision and reviews the progress of these aspects of the project. The SC is chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management and the Member-Secretary is the Director-General of FPMU. Members are drawn from the Ministries of Finance, Planning, Agriculture, Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives, Women and Children’s Affairs, Health and Family Welfare and Fisheries and Livestock as well as the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division.

The FAO Representative in Bangladesh and the Chairperson of the Donor Consortium serve as members and a representative from the World Food Programme and the TAT Team Leader have an observer status.
