Policy monitoring and advisory activities will start upon
finalization of the POA. This will primarily involve a) identifying monitoring
units relevant to each of planned/on-going NFP interventions, including
Poverty
Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) monitoring unit (s), and sstreamlining
information flows between units and the
FPMU
to ensure consistency; b) identifying relevant impact indicators for each NFP
intervention, gathering and analyzing relevant data and materials c) publishing
of selected analytical outputs. Given the importance of strategic linkages
between the NFP and the PRSP, food-security monitoring activities are to be
closely coordinated with monitoring of the PRSP.
In support of the work of
the FPMU and the TRTs, experts from within and outside
FAO
will be mobilized by the project to provide guidance and advice
on specific issues for which additional specialized expertise is required.
In-country field visits will also be organized according to emerging
informational and analytical needs.
