The RGP is the body responsible for awarding the grants both for the Challenge Fund (CF) and for the Programme funded Research (PR). In the preparatory stages leading to the first Call for Proposals, the RGP reviewed and endorsed the Guidelines that were then approved by the Steering Committee on April 12^th 2007.

The RGP approves the research proposals that will be awarded grants. Its decision is based on the administrative screening to be carried out by the Research Grants Administrator and on the technical appraisal conducted by the Technical Assistance Team (TAT) who proposes a ranking of the proposals based on scoring criteria set in the Guidelines.

     -  Representative from FPMU, MoFDM

     -  Two representatives from Civil Society

     -  TAT Team leader (CTA)

     -  Representative from the Ministry of Food and Disaster

        Management (Joint Secretary)
